Part of Data Services, the Data Services Lab has 20 computer workstations offering software supporting data research available to NYU students, faculty, and staff.
Non-data users of workstations may be asked to relocate to make space for those working with data.
- Walk-in Use:
- Workstations are available on a first-come, first-served basis whenever library stacks are open. (opens in a new window) Users without reservations will be asked to relocate to another workstation when a computer has been reserved for project use.
NYU students, faculty, and staff can reserve a workstation (opens in a new window) for data and statistical projects.
6 lab machines are available for reservations during Data Services’ staffed hours (see hours above).

Data Services also provides assistance and select software to users at our NYU Abu Dhabi campus.
Computer Use Policy
Data Services Lab computers may be used by library patrons on a walk-in basis. However, workstations can be reserved by NYU students, faculty, and staff for data and statistical projects by contacting a consultant or using the appointment form. Users working without reservations will be asked to relocate to another workstation when a computer has been reserved for project use. Use of the Data Services lab is governed by the following guidelines:
