New York Times
Digital subscriptions to the New York Times are available to NYU students, faculty, and staff, free of charge.

Access to more than 7,000 of the world’s top newspapers and magazines is available to NYU students, faculty, and staff through PressReader, a digital platform provides full-content, digital replicas of current publications including The Guardian, Newsweek, Daily Mail, Der Tagesspiegel, Libération, China Daily, La Razon, and more.
- To access activate your PressReader account:
- Go to www.pressreader.com
- Click the “Sign In” button
- Select “Library or Group”
- Search for “New York University”
- Click “Sign In” to authenticate through the NYU’s SSO login
- Note: If you’re on NYU’s Wi-Fi network you may not need to go through the sign in process.
Wall Street Journal
Digital subscriptions to The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) are available to NYU students, faculty, and staff, free of charge.

Existing Subscribers: If you are already a Wall Street Journal subscriber, you need to reactivate your subscription to take advantage of the free one. Here’s how:
- Call 1-800-JOURNAL to cancel your personal subscription.
- Go to WSJ.com/NYU to activate your free Wall Street Journal university account.
- Select your “Account type” as either “Student” (enter your graduation date) or “Professor/Staff.”
- Input your email and create a password, then click “Create.”
- A confirmation page will confirm that your academic WSJ account has been activated. Click on “Okay, Let’s Go” to customize your experience.

Encompasses the content of 400 databases and publishers.

Covers international politics, news, finance, business, technology, and science.
Kanopy Streaming(opens in a new window)
This database provides access to streaming movies, documentaries, independent and international films, educational films, and instructional videos. Content distributors include The Criterion Collection, The Great Courses, Kino Lorber, PBS, and many independent filmmakers.
ProQuest Central(opens in a new window)
A multidisciplinary database with over 11,000 titles, 8,000 of which are full-text.
PsycInfo(opens in a new window)
Covers professional and academic literature in psychology and related disciplines, including medicine, psychiatry, nursing, sociology, pharmacology, physiology, and linguistics.
PubMed(opens in a new window)
Comprises over 26,000,000 citations for biomedical literature from MEDLINE, life science journals, and online books.
Statista(opens in a new window)
Statista aggregates data on markets, industry, politics, economics, and population. Users can export datasets in a variety of formats. Sources include trade publications, market and opinion research institutions, government sources, business and economic databases, reference publications, media sources, and scholarly articles. Includes Statista’s “Global Consumer Survey”, which helps marketers understand consumer behavior and brand interaction.
