Head of Access, Delivery and Resource Sharing Services
We support access to and use of our own and other libraries’ collections. We also provide access to study spaces and assist with visitor access to Bobst Library.
The library access services department is dedicated to providing support and assistance to all library users. Our knowledgeable staff is here to help with any general access questions, enabling access for eligible external community members, and troubleshooting access problems. It is our goal to make accessing the vast resources of NYU Libraries as easy and convenient as possible.
Circulation and Reserves are responsible for managing the flow of materials in and out of the library. The Circulation and Reserves desk is staffed by knowledgeable and helpful professionals who are ready to assist users with their borrowing needs. Whether it’s checking out or returning a book, renewing a loan, or making a course reserve request, the circulation and reserve department is there to help. With a focus on customer service and efficiency, this department plays a critical role in ensuring that users can access NYU Libraries’ collections with ease.
The library’s resource sharing and delivery services department (RSDS) is dedicated to ensuring that library materials are efficiently and effectively delivered to library users. From books to document delivery, the department strives to provide a seamless experience for library users. This includes coordinating interlibrary loans between libraries and managing the sharing of materials between NYU library branches from NYC to Abu Dhabi and Shanghai. The goal of the department is to make sure that library users have access to the resources they need, regardless of location or availability. With a focus on customer service and attention to detail, the RSDS department is an essential part of providing access to library collections.
