The Avery Fisher Center’s facilities include 4 small and 2 large reservable collaborative rooms. These rooms, located on Floor 7 of Bobst Library, are equipped for a full range of media listening and viewing.

How do I reserve a listening and viewing space?

Reserve a collaborative media room

  • Rooms can be booked for up to 3 hours per day.

  • If space is available, reservations may be extended at the end of the session based on staff discretion. Ask at the AFC desk.

  • Time slots become available 14 days in advance.

Can I listen or view media without a reservation?

Yes. There are 10 media workstations for individual study. Borrowers may also check out portable disc drives for use with laptops. All options are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Room Reservation Policy

  • No food. No drinks. No exceptions.

  • A reservation cannot be transferred to another person.

  • Students who fail to check in within 15 minutes of their scheduled start time are subject to their sessions being canceled by AFC staff.
