Lower Level 1 (LL1)
NYU students, faculty, and staff can borrow a Mac or PC laptop from Bobst and Dibner Libraries.
Laptops have wireless Internet access and printing capability, and include productivity software (word processing, etc.).
Are borrowed from the Bobst Library Computer Services, located on Lower Level 1 (LL1).
Can be borrowed for 4 hours, and are renewable, unless other users are waiting.
Must be used inside the library.
Must be returned 1 hour before BLCC’s closing.
Borrowers who wish to renew any items must do so in person with all borrowed items in hand at the computer services desk. Only Bobst Library laptops are renewable.
In addition to general four hour loans, Bobst Library offers overnight laptop loans to NYU students.
Due times are listed in the emailed receipt. Overnight loans are not renewable.
To receive an overnight laptop loan, visit the Bobst Library Computer Services located on Lower Level 1 (LL1).
Dibner laptop loans are currently available for four hour and twenty-four hour loans. Dibner Library laptops
are borrowed from the Dibner Library Service Desk.

Dibner has a small number of laptops available for overnight loan, obtainable on a first-come, first-served basis. Due times are listed on the loan receipt.
The Borrower of the item(s) is responsible for returning all items directly to the Bobst Library Computer Center, or the Public Service Desk at Dibner Library.
Item(s) checked out are for the Borrower’s use only.
Borrowers will be fined the replacement cost of up to $2000.00 for any items that are lost, stolen or damaged.
We send frequent reminders about due dates and overdue items. In all cases, you are responsible for returning items by the due date regardless of whether the notices were received.
Reminders are emailed to your school email address (i.e., your nyu.edu email address.)
If you do happen to accrue fines, please keep in mind your borrowing privileges will be blocked upon accrual of $25 in unpaid fines and fees. If you have lost items, or fines and fees in excess of $500, you will be blocked from registering for classes or getting your transcript.
Late fines accrue at a rate of $1.00 per open hour, to a maximum of $60.00.
Overnight peripheral fines accrue at a rate of $1.00 per open hour, to a maximum of $60.00.
Late fines accrue at a rate of 33 cents per minute, to a maximum of $50.00 for laptops and $50.00 for each peripheral.
Please note, noncompliance with the above conditions can result in the suspension of the use of Bobst Library Services and/or New York University Facilities. –>
