Books and materials checked out from any NYU or Consortium library may be returned to most NYU Libraries (except Law and Health Sciences).

For Interlibrary Loans and EZBorrow material please return these items with their paperwork.

Return via Book Drop Bins

Bobst Library Bins

The Bobst book drop bins are inside the library, at the northeast corner of the atrium. Book drop bins can also be found at the Circulation service point in the 1st floor atrium. *Note: laptops and equipment must be returned in person to the desk where they were borrowed.

Media Returns (Bobst Only)

Only return music CDs and DVDs/VHSs to the bin labeled AFC, due to the fragile nature of these items. The AFC bin is inside Bobst at the northeast corner of the atrium next to the other book drop bins. An additional media return bin can be found at the Avery Fisher Center (AFC) service point on the 7th floor, located through the center doors.

Computer Center Equipment Returns (Bobst Only)

Equipment loaned from the Bobst Library Computer Center (BLCC) must be returned directly to the BLCC service point on LL1.

Dibner Library

The Dibner book drop bin is in the lobby of 5 MetroTech Center and is accessible from 7:00am to 11:00pm every day.

Return via Service Point

All library materials can be returned to the service point from which they were loaned. Books and circulating ILL and EZBorrow material can be returned to the Circulation service point located in the 1st floor atrium. AFC media materials can be returned to the AFC service point on the 7th floor. BLCC equipment can be returned to the BLCC service point on LL1.
