The three departments in Teaching, Learning, and Engagement (TLE) focus on ethical and critical teaching and learning practices. By offering services in undergraduate & graduate instruction, online instruction, instructional design, teaching and learning with technology, reference services, workshops, and student engagement events, TLE provides opportunities for experiential learning, on-demand instructional support, and user engagement activities. We work interdepartmentally within the Division of Libraries, with stakeholders across campus, and with community partners across NYC and the globe to remain responsive to criticality, and while proactively advancing our teaching and learning services.

SPARK Lab

The SPARK Lab supports faculty, students, and staff in the creation, use, storage, and sharing of multimedia materials (video, audio, text, images) for their research, teaching, and learning.

Reference Services

Reference Services engages NYU library patrons at the Reference desk, in workshops, and via our nearly 24/7 Ask a Librarian chat service in finding, navigating, and using resources, and tools to address their research needs.

Undergraduate and Instructional Services

Undergraduate and Instructional Services provides in-person, online, and asynchronous information literacy instruction, along with engagement and outreach services, to courses and campus groups that support undergraduate students.
