Library Systems

We are responsible for the Division of Libraries server-side infrastructure, managing a fleet of on-premise and cloud-based servers and services that provide global access to electronic library services, such as the library web site, proxy systems that enable access from anywhere on the internet, databases that track materials for delivery and interlibrary loan, and network services that control access to electronic books and A/V materials.

Library Systems works closely with the Knowledge Access and Resource Management department, who is responsible for the library catalog, electronic resources, and the library analytics and reporting platform, with the User Experience department, who is responsible for the library’s web presence, and with central NYU IT, who coordinate university-wide networking and security.
