We are responsible for the Division of Libraries server-side infrastructure, managing a fleet of on-premise and cloud-based servers that provide global access to electronic library services, such as the library catalog (Integrated Library System), the library web site, login and proxy systems that enable access from anywhere on the internet, databases that track materials for delivery and interlibrary loan, and network services that control access to electronic books and A/V materials.

Library Systems works closely with the Knowledge Access and Resource Management department, who is responsible for the library catalog and electronic resources, with the User Experience department, who is responsible for the library’s web presence, and with central NYU IT, who coordinate university-wide networking and security.
