Assistant Dean for Human Resources
As strategic partners to the Division of Libraries, Human Resources ensures that NYU Libraries has the diverse workforce and the learning culture needed for all of our employees to achieve the organization’s goals. We provide services that help NYU Libraries attract, develop, and motivate people with the skills and abilities to meet the Libraries’ needs of today and tomorrow. Through our recruitment process, we meet talented people that help us further the mission of the Libraries and NYU. The HR department supports full-cycle recruitment (job posting, application review, screening, interviewing, reference checking, and offer). We bring new hires through a holistic onboarding process to join one of the premier academic libraries in the United States and the world.

Learning and Development
We look to provide opportunities for employees to grow and thrive in their careers. Since our organizational priority starts with Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Belonging, and Accessibility, we look to integrate this focus into our programs and offerings. We do this by prioritizing leadership development in various ways, including online workshops (synchronous and asynchronous), promoting NYU enterprise opportunities (via NYU iLearn, or our partnership with reputable organizations such as Academic Impression and LinkedIn Learning).
Our employee experience is our sole focus. We influence and reinforce our organizational culture through several engagements throughout the year, including our Onboarding Meeting, New Hires Meet and Greet, supporting Affinity Groups as needed, recognition of service milestones in our annual Service Recognition event, and an array of other events throughout the year.
