The Events Team provides effective and strategic management of the Division of Libraries’ special events and projects. Working across the Division of Libraries and in partnership with colleagues throughout the University, the team plans and produces a wide range of events, including high-profile student events, donor and development events, and large-scale internal events and celebrations. Our events are designed to foster community and learning, showcase the strength and diversity of our collections, and create welcoming space for dialogue and discovery,

Special Events

We manage the full lifecycle of special events hosted by the Libraries and the Office of the Dean. Whether supporting a scholarly symposium, a community gathering, or a signature celebration, we ensure a seamless and engaging experience for attendees.

Tabling

Tabling provides an opportunity for NYU students and departments to share information about programs, initiatives, and services that support student success and community engagement. Requests for tabling events in Bobst Library must be submitted through the Bobst Library Tabling Request Form. All requests are reviewed to ensure alignment with library policies, space availability, and our commitment to maintaining an environment conducive to study and research.

Space Use

The Events Team manages requests for special event spaces within Bobst Library. To request use of an event space, please email libraryevents@nyu.edu with details about your proposed event, including preferred date, time, and and a brief description of the program.

NYU faculty members who need classroom space for teaching should contact the Registrar’s Office.

NYU students seeking study space should explore our reservable and drop-in spaces.

Requests for Filming and Photography

Filming and photography shoots are generally not permitted in NYU Libraries’ spaces. Requests for exceptions may be submitted to libraryevents@nyu.edu and must include detailed information about the scope, timing, exact locations, equipment, creative team, and intended use of footage or images.

Because our spaces are intended for study and research, all requests are reviewed to minimize disruption and ensure compliance with NYU policies and space use guidelines. Any approved exceptions must adhere to NYU’s guidelines and standards.
