Posting of non-library notices (including posters, notes, announcements, flyers, advertisements, signs, etc.) in the public areas of the library, with the exception of the designated community bulletin boards, is not permitted. Public areas include study rooms, lobbies, seminar rooms, doors, elevators, hallways, windows, restrooms, stairwells, book stacks, tables and the building entrance. Notices posted in these areas will be removed.

NYU campus groups, including Schools, are welcome to post flyers, notices and posters on the Library’s designated community bulletin boards located at:

  • Brine Commons, Lower Level 1 north corridor
  • Research Commons, 5th floor south

Priority for space on the bulletin boards is given to the university community. Out-dated and duplicate notices will be removed.

This policy is intended to increase the effectiveness of notices and signs posted by the Library, which are intended to assist and inform our users.
