     The Building: Reference Centers

Reference areas are important since they provide:

  • Encyclopedias, dictionaries, and other reference books

  • Indexes & abstracts

  • Research databases

  • Research guides

  • Librarians with special knowledge of the subjects represented in that Reference Center.

Bobst has three reference centers:

  • General, Humanities, and Social Sciences Reference Center (first floor)
  • Business and Social Sciences / Documents Reference Center (sixth floor)
  • Coles Science Reference Center (ninth floor)

At Bobst, history is grouped with the humanities. General historical reference materials are located in the General and Humanities Reference Center on the first floor.

Researchers will often find materials of interest in all three reference centers. Use the links below to see which subject areas in history are included in each reference center.
