Finding Articles Using Databases
The Library subscribes to hundreds of databases you can search to find articles for your research and assignments.
What are Library Databases?
Online tools that allow you to search for newspaper, magazine, and journal articles by keyword and subject. Article databases are useful when you have a topic, but not a specific citation.
What types of Databases are there?
Full Text Databases
- These databases allow you to search for articles that contain the "full text" of the article.
Citation and Abstract Databases
- You can still search these databases by keywords, but they only contain the citations (author, title, journal, year) and sometimes abstracts (summary) of the articles.

How do I find articles in databases?
There are two ways to find articles in databases. You can either use the Articles & Databases BobCat tab, or find articles using the Find Articles and Databases page:
