FAQ

How do I begin my search?

It's easy! Develop a list of keywords that you need for your list. For example, if you need a group of essays by Virginia Woolf, your keywords could be virginia, woolf, or virginia woolf. If you specifically need Virginia Woolf's "The Death of the Moth," try woolf moth or virginia woolf death moth.

Some pitfalls to avoid

  • Words next to each other are joined by the word AND. This means that:
    -a search like woolf and moth won't generate any results, but woolf moth will;
    -the more words you input, the more narrow your search will be.
  • The word OR will not work, nor will the word NOT.

This search functions like Google or other Internet search engines. Just type in the words you need!

How do I find the essay?

Each essay has a three-letter code or a call number. Click on the three-letter code to see which book has your essay, then come in to Bobst to find the book. If your book says "stacks" or has a call number, you can most likely check the book out. Some books may be on reserve; check BobCat for holdings.
