Contents: This set reproduces finding aids, which describe the contents and arrangement of archival collections, for the records of the Ministere des Affaires etrangeres in Paris, the Archives diplomatiques de Nantes, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in The Hague, Netherlands. The French finding aids describe records in various series, some dating back to the seventeenth century. Series included are political correspondence, consular and commercial correspondence, memoirs and documents, files of French diplomatic and consular stations abroad.

Contents: 138 works which document the economic and social conditions of the working class in 19th-century France. Includes official publications, such as those of investigative commissions and the Office du Travail, established in 1891, as well as private reports written by doctors, economists, statesmen, etc. A few works by women authors are available in the set. Filmed at the Bibliotheque Nationale, Paris and other French libraries.

Arrangement: Individual works are searchable in Bobcat by author only. Or, to scan he contents of the set, search by microfiche call number in Bobcat ("c=mf 293"). This will provide a listing of the titles in sequence.

A bibliography by Michelle Perrot, Enquetes sur la condition ouvriere en France au 19e siecle, has an introductory essay and several indexes to the set's contents, including by subject.
