WINDOW FILTERS A film has been applied to the inside of the Bobst Library windows to filter out damaging ultra-violet (UV) light and reduce solar heat gain. Both heat and UV light act as catalysts that accelerate the kind of chemical reactions which contribute to the deterioration of book materials, such as embrittlement and fading.
