| LIGHT METER | Light meter readings measure the level of ambient light on the object, whether it�s daylight or artificial light. Different types of objects have different recommended light levels. Some items, such as pastel drawings or textiles demand very low lighting levels, i.e. less then 5 foot candles, while others like stone and metal objects can safely accept levels as high as 28 foot candles. The appropriate level for most book material is less than 13 foot candles. |
