FAQs
-
BobCat says a book I need is "In Processing." What does that mean, and how can I get it?
"In Processing" means the book is here at Bobst, but not yet ready to be placed on the shelves. If you need a book that is "In Processing," place a recall on it in BobCat (for instructions, please visit Online Recalls and Offsite Storage Requests), and you will be emailed when the book is available. This process usually only takes a few days.

Can I borrow videos and CDs from the Library for use in my classes? How can I schedule viewings in the Library for groups of students?
The Avery Fisher Center for Music and Media on the 2nd floor of Bobst Library provides previewing facilities for faculty. Faculty may also arrange for
group viewing
for up to 12 students in AFC. Videos and CDs may also be placed
on reserve
in AFC for individual viewing. Videos and CDs do not circulate; however, faculty may arrange for
special loans
of 24 hours for videos and one week for CDs. To make sure your video or CD is available, we suggest you contact the AFC at least one day in advance. -
How can I suggest a title or recommend that the library purchase a book for Bobst's collection?
Submit a Library Recommendation form to make collections recommendations.
