EZProxy Troubleshooting Tips
To get to the Library's subscription databases, e-journals and e-books when you are off-campus, you will automatically be asked to log in to the NYU EZProxy Server using your NYU NetID and password.

To allow /connect?session to work, your EZproxy administrator must first authorize this within the ezproxy.cfg file.

The proxy server rejects my username and password
Your NetID and password are the same ones you use to access NYU Home. Your NetID is printed on your NYU ID card. To get a password, or reset it, go to ITS Start or call ITS Help Desk at 212-998-3333. Make sure your caps lock is off. Passwords are case sensitive.

There are several reasons why this could be happening:
- Your computer at work may be behind a firewall, or the security settings may be set too high. Check with your network services department.
- To use the EZProxy server, popup windows must be enabled. If you are using Google or Yahoo toolbar to block popups, unblock them by clicking the "Options" button. Check your browser settings under Tools|Options to unblock popups.

Electronic resources in BobCat are not linked to the EZProxy server at this time. To connect to these resources from off-campus, you can configure your browser to use the "old" NYU Proxy server.
