University Media Services includes the following:

  • NYU-TV

NYU-TV is New York University’s own closed-circuit television network providing two channels on NYU’s Campus Cable system. NYU-TV’s mission is to inform, educate, and entertain the NYU community. In addition to distributing exciting programming to the NYU community, NYU-TV offers comprehensive, professional video production and post-production services to NYU departments to meet a variety of needs.

  • Iris & B. Gerald Cantor Film Center

The Art Moderne styled Art Theater first opened in 1940, starting out as a late-run showcase for American and foreign movies before becoming a first-run theater in the late 1950s, and later, in the 1980s, the Movieland triplex. NYU renovated the space in 1996, adding the facade and creating the three-theater Iris & B. Gerald Cantor Film Center as an all-University facility for larger-capacity classes, screenings, and special events
